He is a director of Leaderware which provides instruments for the selection of CCTV operators, X-ray screeners and other security personnel in major operations around the world. He also runs CCTV Surveillance Skills and Body Language, and Advanced Surveillance Body Language courses for CCTV operators, supervisors and managers internationally, and consults on CCTV management. |

Jeff Corkill
Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia
Jeff Corkill is a former Australian military intelligence officer who shifted to the resource sector, focusing primarily on the security intelligence needs of the precious minerals industry. In 2007 Jeff entered academia at Edith Cowan University in Perth and he now lectures in Intelligence and Security and is in the final stages of his PhD in the field of intelligence analysis. He travels extensively to Hong Kong, Singapore and other parts of the Far East as part of academic lectures and work with postgraduate students in those countries. Jeff has held a number of security management roles in the resource sector and consults in the security and intelligence field. His previous consultancy work has included working with the UN and private companies primarily on issues related to intelligence and surveillance, and he has being involved with CCTV work with city centres such as Sydney and Perth as well as Australian Customs and police forces. |

Brendon Cowley
Business Development Director, C3 Shared Services
Brendon Cowley became involved in the electronic security industry over 15 years ago where he started as a specialised systems designer and consultant for Armour Group Integrated Systems where he worked for a period of 6 years.
Brendon moved on from Armour Group to be employed by Hatch Engineering as a design consultant where he handled some of their major projects including the Durban Port Security Project. It was while working with Hatch that Brendon and colleague Nick Grange, started C3 Shared Services. Brendon is currently the Business Development Director of C3.

Leo Nardi
Surveillance Manager/Justicia Contracts Manager, Toyota South Africa
A South African and Italian, Leo Nardi did his post matric studies in Italy while working for an electronics R&D company. He did his Italian national service with the Folgore Parachute Brigade, part of Italian Special Forces. On his return to SA, he continued to work for an electronics design & manufacturing company that was heavily involved in law enforcement electronics for both local and foreign markets. He also joined up as a SAPS Reservist (active to date) where he was involved in technical projects. He joined Justicia in 2000 as an Electronics Manager/Investigator and in 2005 was contracted by Justicia to Toyota SA in Durban as an investigator/technical support specialist. Towards the end of 2006 the title of CCTV Surveillance Manager was added to his portfolio. He is currently responsible for staffing and managing the Toyota control room as well as consulting on the technical upgrade of the security systems. |

Juan Kotze

Kotze has gained experience over the past 30 years as a Prosecutor, Magistrate and Attorney and specialises in criminal matters, litigation and firearm matters. He has acted in various cases on behalf of Spar in order to assist prosecutors and ensure effective prosecutions, especially when involving CCTV footage as evidence. |

Johan Olivier
Security manager, Impala Platinum
Johan Olivier joined the South African Police after Matric, completing his training as a Forensic Investigator. After service in South African Criminal Bureau and subsequently Fingerprint Office, he was promoted to Warrant Officer. He spent a brief period in banking, and subsequently joined Anglo American Mining security, specifically at ERGO (East Rand Gold and Uranium Coy) where he spent 12 years. While there he was promoted to Chief Security Superintendent, responsible for all Security aspects of the ERGO operations on the East Rand. During this time he also completed the Management Course in Security as well as the Management Course in Civil Defence through UNISA. During 1995, he was appointed at Rand Refinery as the In-House, Chief Security Superintendent, then in November 1997, he took up the position of Manager Protection Services at Impala Platinum Ltd. Refineries in Springs. Subsequently he was appointed as Group Protection Services Manager, responsible for the Security function at Impala Rustenburg Mines, mineral processing in rustenburg as well as mining operations in Steelpoort. He is also currently Chairman of the International Platinum Association – Mining. |

Clinton Vigne
Specialist investigator, Tsogo Sun Group
Clinton Vigne is a specialist investigator at Montecasino for the Tsogo Sun Group. He has experience with the South African Police where he studied for a National Diploma in Police Management, trained as a forensic and fingerprint expert, and later joined the Dog Unit where he underwent training as both a patrol and explosive dog expert handler. He joined the casino industry where he took up a role in surveillance and security management incorporating Loss Control, Risk Profiling and specialised investigations. Clinton has worked for various casinos across Africa within Sun International, was investigations manager at Gold Reef City for the Akani Egoli group, and is currently with the Tsogo Sun Group. He has a diploma in Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigations with the University of Johannesburg and is currently studying for his LLB at the University of South Africa.
